Global visibility of Romanian academic publishing:\u00a0 policies and practices<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><em>Abstract<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">This paper aims at answering the following question: \u201cWhat has been the impact of the global ISI trend on the Romanian higher education, and how have Romanian universities understood and implemented it?\u201d Furthermore, we analyse whether the ISI fever has led to an increase in the global visibility of published Romanian research. To this aim, we address both the system as a whole (at national level) and one individual university (Babe\u015f-Bolyai University, BBU, selected because it is one of the biggest universities in the country as well as one of the top performing ones and also because of the availability of data).
