Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The publication ethics of the Journal of Research in Higher Education are based on the COPE Best Practice guidelines<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Manuscripts submitted to JRHE are assessed exclusively on their scientific content. JRHE does not take into account the race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, citizenship, ethnicity and other similar characteristics of the authors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Unpublished findings submitted in a manuscript will not be used neither by the Editor-in-Chief, nor the editorial team, nor the peer reviewers for their own research unless they secured a prior written consent of the author(s).<\/span><\/p>\n

The Editor-in-Chief is the person responsible for ultimately deciding which manuscript(s) is(are) going to be published.<\/span><\/p>\n

Manuscript authors must certify that their work does not infringe on copyright, is not plagiarised and is not libellous. Additionally, by submitting a manuscript the author(s) acknowledge(s) that it is the result of original research and they accept the scientific and ethical responsibility resulting from the publishing of the manuscript.<\/span><\/p>\n

Manuscripts are considered confidential until the time of publishing. Communication about them is restricted strictly between the Editor-in-Chief, editorial board, peer reviewers and the executive editors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Any potential conflict of interest should be disclosed to the Editor-in-Chief as soon as the person has become aware of it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Research results should be reported as accurately as possible, with enough details so that others could replicate the research carried out. Fraudulent or intentional inaccurate statements are considered unethical and are unacceptable.<\/span><\/p>\n

The authors should make sure that they referenced appropriately all sources cited and\/or mentioned in their manuscript. No part of the submitted manuscript can be plagiarised. In case of any suspicion, the editors reserve the right to carry out further checks regarding the originality of the work beyond the peer-review.<\/span><\/p>\n

Authors of the manuscript should be defined and credited following the Vancouver Criteria (ICMJE)<\/a>. The corresponding author should make sure that all credited authors have seen the final version of the manuscript and agreed to it being submitted for publication to JRHE.<\/span><\/p>\n

Should an author discover a significant error or inaccuracy in the work submitted to JRHE, they should notify the Editor-in-Chief immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n

Publication is free of charge for the author(s) submitting the manuscript(s).
